 Easy Chocolate Mousse


Only 6 ingredients and 10 minutes of prep time are required for this simple Chocolate Mousse recipe. It's a deceptively simple homemade dessert that's oh-so-delicious!
You'll need the following ingredients to make the chocolate mousse:
1/2 cup (4 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions :
In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate, salt, and espresso powder (if used).
Heat the milk until it is steaming, then pour it over the chocolate. Allow for 2-3 minutes before stirring until combined and smooth. Allow for complete cooling.
In a separate medium mixing bowl, whip the cream, sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 1-2 minutes. Gently fold in the cooled melted chocolate.
Pour the mixture into four (4 ounces) ramekins or small tumbler glasses. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
Dollop with whipped cream and chocolate shavings and serve.
