Why is this recipe the BEST

My family has been enjoying banana pudding for years, as I am sure many of you have too.
I thought it was time to share the recipe and photos with all of you! While trying out different versions and variations over the years, the banana pudding from Paula Deen's mother of Not Yo is the recipe that got stuck.
I'm sure you know your banana pudding.
No-Bake: Set up in 4 hours, firm enough to cut and serve It looks beautiful in a snack bowl, layered. I changed the recipe to ONE BOWL. Easy to make, easy to clean

This creamy and rich banana pudding recipe is a delicious no-bake dessert. Perfect for weekdays or on the go, everyone will love this classic recipe!
Ingredients
2 pkg Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 medium bananas, sliced
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 box (5 oz) Instant Banana cream pudding mix ***
2 cups milk ***
12 oz Cool Whip, thawed

Instructions:

Place the bottom of a 13x9 baking dish with a pack of chess cookies. Coating with sliced bananas.

In a bowl, beat cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Add the pudding mixture and milk. Beat for a few minutes and scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.

Add the chilled whip and spread it over the banana layer.

Top with the rest of the pack of chess cookies. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool for 4 hours.
Notes:
The mixture of French vanilla or vanilla pudding can be replaced by the flavor of banana cream. I used 2% milk, but any variety would work.
-Nilla waffles and butter cookies can be replaced by chess butter cookies.
Recipe easily adapted to Paula Deen's Not Yo Mama Banana Pudding Recipe: Use an electric blender for smooth pudding results. Make sure the cream cheese is softened at room temperature!
- For best results, let the banana pudding cool for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
-Store the cellophe-covered banana pudding in the refrigerator.
